FUTURE PROJECTS

TAIKU COFFEE PROJECT

A Testimonial of Solidarity and Resilience. Carlos Garzon was nine years old when his father was killed by the “guerrillas” in Colombia. At that young age he was left orphaned and displaced along with his siblings; victims of a civil war. Albeit the hardships Carlos had endured as a child, he never harbored feelings of hate or revenge, but instead two special visions were planted in his heart: To join the military, so that he may protect others from the pain he went through. To fulfill his dream to start a family of his own. Two visions which were like seeds planted in fertile soil.

Teyuna Foundation is proud to announce our upcoming support of the ongoing Taiku Coffee project by working directly with Mr. Garzon in a collaborative effort.  We will aim to facilitating possible connections for fair trade and other means to be explored. This will further help  the  indigenous community being served to eventually bring forth self-sustainability, education, food supply and more access to drinking water.
